2. Scope of this policy
This policy applies to personal information we collect through our website at technologies-lido.com (the "Website"), when you contact us by email or phone, and in the course of our business relationships with prospective and current clients, suppliers and partners.
Personal information that we process on behalf of our clients as part of an AI development project (for example, data a client provides for model training) is governed by our written agreement with that client. In those cases, we act as a service provider and process the data only on the client's instructions.

- Business relationship information: information needed to prepare proposals, enter into contracts, deliver services, invoice and communicate with you.
- Job applications: if you apply to work with us, your résumé and any information you choose to share.
Information collected automatically
- Technical information: when you visit the Website, our hosting provider may automatically record standard server-log information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, pages visited and the date and time of your visit. This information is used for security, troubleshooting and to keep the Website running properly.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information (such as health or financial information) through the Website. Please do not include sensitive information in messages sent through our contact form.
4. How we use your information
We use personal information only for purposes that a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances, including to:
- respond to your inquiries and requests;
- prepare proposals and provide, manage and improve our services;
- communicate with you about projects, invoices and our business relationship;
- operate, secure and improve the Website;
- evaluate job applications;
- send you information about our services, but only where you have consented or where permitted by Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL); and
- comply with legal, regulatory, tax and accounting obligations, and establish or defend legal claims.
We will not use your personal information for a new purpose without first identifying that purpose and obtaining your consent, unless permitted or required by law.
5. Consent
We collect, use and disclose personal information with your knowledge and consent, except where otherwise permitted or required by law. Consent may be express (for example, when you check the consent box on our contact form) or implied (for example, when you send us an email asking us to reply).

6. Artificial intelligence and your data
As an AI technology company, we want to be clear about how AI relates to your information:
- We do not use personal information submitted through the Website, or data provided by one client, to train AI models for other clients or for our own commercial products without explicit written consent.
- We do not use personal information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
- Where we use third-party AI services in delivering a project, we select providers with appropriate contractual and security commitments and, where possible, configure them so that submitted data is not retained or used for model training.

7. How we share information
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We disclose personal information only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers: to trusted third parties who provide services to us, such as website hosting, email, cloud computing, accounting and professional advisers. They may use the information only to provide those services and must protect it.
- Legal requirements: where required or permitted by law, for example in response to a court order, subpoena or lawful request from a government authority.
- Business transactions: in connection with a proposed or actual merger, financing, acquisition or sale of all or part of our business, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
- With your consent: in any other case where you have given consent.
8. Storage and transfers outside Canada
Some of our service providers may store or process personal information outside Canada, including in the United States. When this happens, your information is subject to the laws of that jurisdiction and may be accessible to its courts, law-enforcement and national-security authorities. We use contractual and other measures to require a comparable level of protection for information processed outside Canada.
9. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law (for example, tax and accounting requirements). General inquiries that do not lead to a business relationship are typically deleted within 24 months. When personal information is no longer needed, we securely destroy, delete or anonymize it.
10. Security
We protect personal information with physical, organizational and technical safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls based on need-to-know, strong authentication and the use of reputable, security-certified service providers.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a breach of security safeguards involving your personal information creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as required by PIPEDA.
